The Meeker Classic Art Committee Chairs, Sarah Grimes and Kari Jo Rutchi introduce the accepted entries for the 2017 Meeker Classic Art and Photography Contest. All of the accepted art and photography pieces will be on display at the Meeker Public Library, 490 Main Street, Meeker Colorado from August 10 to September 1, 2017. The work will then be moved out to the Meeker Classic Sheepdog Trial Site at Ute Park, Meeker, CO and hung in the historic Wilber Barn for the duration of the 2017 Meeker Classic.

Awards will be announced and presented during the Art Reception. Lite appetizers and refreshments are served at the Art Reception located at the Wilbur Barn on Thursday evening, September 7th 2017, 5-7 pm. Spectators will vote on People’s Choice winner during the Art Reception while treated to local music and western hospitality. Additionally all artwork is available for purchase through a silent auction which closes on Sunday, bidders do not need to be present to win. More information can be found on the website.
Show visitors will also be able to view the original Poster Artwork for the first Meeker Classic in 1987 by Elisa Love. Adam Jahiel from Story, Wyoming will also have some pieces on exhibit at the show.
