SPECIAL DEMONSTRATION  – Saturday and Sunday during the Noon Hour

By the GARFIELD COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE K9 UNIT

It is our distinct pleasure to welcome the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit to the Meeker Classic.  Consisting of four teams (Handler and Dog) this Unit serves a vital role in the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office operations.  This demonstration will be held on the field during the noon-hour break on Saturday and Sunday of the Meeker Classic. All of the four teams will be on hand and on the field during the demonstration.  Due to the high sophisticated nature and training of these dogs, we ask that your refrain from approaching the dogs and watch the demonstration from your seats. The handlers will let you know if any of the dogs are approachable.   There will be and question and answer session each day.  We thank the folks at Purina who have kindly donated Purina Pro Plan Dog food to each of the teams.
