2018 was a wonderful year for the Meeker Classic. Once again, we had a spectacular lineup of competitors and dogs that made for a good show and tough competition. Judged by Bruce Fogt, the 130 lineup of dogs narrowed down to 30 to make the Semi Finals on Saturday. From that impressive grouping twelve dogs advanced to the Double Lift Finals on Sunday. We make no priorities of who can enter the Meeker Classic – all that compete are bound by standards of conduct, ethics and sportsmanship – it’s a great show to watch from early Wednesday morning of the Preliminaries to the last run of Sunday afternoon. In the end, it’s the stories, the hard work and the journey each brings with them to the Meeker Classic. We thank all of the handlers and their dogs for sharing their time with us. Our family reaches beyond the sheepdog competition to the many vendors, demonstrators, artists, sponsors and spectators that share our time together. We are blessed with the memories and special friendships that are made each year. Join us in remembering the 2018 Meeker Classic!
