The Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials announces it’s initial draw for Accepted Entries into their 2016 30th Anniversary trials. Of the 270 dogs entered, 140 were selected by a random draw to move to the Accepted Entry List. The remaining 130 dogs will stay on the wait list in the order drawn. The draw for the 2016 Accepted Entries and Wait List has been done and audited via the Meeker Classic Rules Committee process.
Going forward, the Accepted Entry and Wait Lists will move as plans change, dogs are substituted or withdrawn over the next few months. Substitutions and Withdrawals can only be done by contacting Maym by phone (970-878-0111), Email or Letter. More information on the process can be found on the Handler Information page on the Meeker Classic Website. The actual running order for the dogs will be done on August 1, 2016.
The Meeker Classic extends its sincere appreciation to all the handlers who have entered the trial over the years. It is because of your character, your dogs and your commitment to the sport of Sheepdog Trials that we’ve been able to make our trial such a success. Each of you are a valuable part of the sheepdog community as you work preserve the history of the Border Collie dog, to promote the breed through obtaining, maintaining and disseminating information pertaining to their breeding and training as working dogs.
