FAQ’s 2025 Meeker Classic Dog Sponsorship Program:

  1. Where can I register for the Meeker Classic Dog Sponsorship Program? Registration forms are available on our website www.meekersheepdog.com, or can be obtained by calling Maym Cunningham, 970-878-0111. Dog Sponsorships will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.
  2. Is my sponsorship tax deductible? The Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials is designated a 501(c) (3)– Not for Profit Organization Your contribution of $145 is fully deductible. As a 2025 Dog Sponsor you will receive a Donation Voucher for your 2025 tax filing.
  3.  When am I assigned a Dog?  The running order will be “drawn” on August 1st, 2025 for 135 dogs running in the preliminary runs. Once the running order is established, sponsors will be randomly assigned a dog. Your name will appear in the running order posted on our website shortly after August 10, 2025 and will also appear in the printed running order in our 2025 Meeker Classic Souvenir Trial Program.
  4. What happens if my dog scratches? If a dog scratches before September 1st we will fill its spot in the running order by utilizing a “standby list” of dogs waiting to get entered at the Meeker Classic. An amended running order will be announced each day at the trial and will be reflected on daily handouts of the running order. If by chance there is last minute scratch due to injury or some unforeseen circumstance, your name will be announced, you’ll receive the sponsorship packet, but obviously we wouldn’t be able to provide a photograph.
  5. How will I know “when” my sponsored dog will run?   During preliminary runs we will run 45 dogs per day. The running order will be posted on our website on August 10th so you can make plans to watch your dog run.
    Dogs 1 – 45 Wednesday 9/03/2025 (45 Dogs)
    Dogs 46 – 90 Thursday 9/04/2025 (45 Dogs)
    Dogs 91 – 135 Friday 9/05/2025 (45 Dogs)
  6. How can I track my dog’s performance if I’m unable to attend the trial? There is a link on the home page of our website that will take you to www.dogtrialentry.com were immediate results will be posted.
  7. What if I can’t attend the Meeker Classic? The Meeker Classic will be livestreamed all Five Days of the Trial. You can watch free of charge. The link will be posted on our website homepage and on Facebook. You will receive a photo of your dog after the trial.
  8. How will the Photos work? As part of your Dog Sponsorship Benefit Package you will receive a 5”x7” photo of your sponsored dog, it’s handler & you (if available) in a custom mat. Sponsors need to be “available” for a photo immediately following their sponsored dog’s preliminary run. Meet at the sheep wagon in the vending area. If the sponsor is NOT available, a photo of the handler & dog will be taken/ Please note that no provisions will be made for “missed photo ops”. It’s too difficult for the handler/dog and logistically for the photographer.
Photos will be mailed after the Classic, and sponsors will be able to order more/larger photos from the photographer – at their own expense.
  9. When will I receive my sponsorship packet? Due to postage costs ALL Dog Sponsor Packets will be available at the Main Ticket Gate during our 2025 Event. You can have your packet mailed by paying an additional fee at registration. We will also have the option of emailing your tickets if you like.
  10. As a Dog Sponsor you will be added to our email list for Newsletters. You’re welcome to unsubscribe if you like.
