Where:  Tour will begin at the White River Museum, 565 Park St., Meeker, CO – There will be free shuttles going hourly between the Meeker Classic Site at the Courthouse (close to the Museum) or you can easily drive there.

Museum & Downtown Walking Tour – Enjoy a tour through one of the last curio museums in Colorado and a downtown walking tour of the charming, historic town of Meeker, Colorado. The White River Museum is comprised of seven rooms with extensive collections of the pioneers who settled in this area and also the Garrison building that holds the Ute artifacts and stories of the last Army and Indian battle in the United States in 1879. (There were later uprisings but this was the last strategic battle with Indians on their own land.

Tour the charming, historic town of Meeker, Colorado.  With some of the downtown buildings dating back to 1883, strolling the town square and hearing historic facts is a must for the weekend!
