Lamb Cook-off

Held in Conjunction with Art Reception – Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015  – 5-7pm

“A Culinary Celebration of Colorado Lamb”

Entries for the 2015 Meeker Classic Lamb Cook-off are now open! Entries are open to Meeker Classic Vendors, chefs and area locals.   We’ll be taking 15 entries this year and hope to make it our best yet.  Thursday evening of the Art Reception and Lamb Cook-off has become a favorite for guests and local residents – a fun filled evening of art and cuisine.

We are pleased to present our 3rd   Annual Meeker Classic Lamb Cook-off to be held in conjunction with the Art Reception on Thursday evening, Sept. 10th  from 5 to 7 pm.  Beer and wine produced in Northwestern Colorado will be available for sampling during the evening.  Meeker Classic Food Vendors and area chefs have been given the opportunity to participate in the Cook-off.  The contestants will flex their culinary might competing for first through third place prizes; winners determined by a professionally trained chef.  We will also have a People’s Choice Award.  This additional award will be determined by spectators sampling and voting for their favorite.  Contestants will be given the choice of ground lamb or lamb shoulder to prepare as an appetizer during the Art Reception.
